I’m sorry to hear about your chorizo and egg burritos (That sounds bomb.com right now) I’ve enjoyed reading your blog notes, your girls are absolutely beautiful, you look like such a proud papa.
I read that you’ve lost weight with running, how much do you want to lose and do you have any special meals or foods that you eat now that help with your weight management? I just started running again myself and I’m trying to drop some weight as well. I might have to steal your belvita! (or Just eat a burrito and cry about it later.) 😛 Lol

Hello Danielle! Thank you for reading! My girls do keep me busy, I have 3 daughters, so I’m outnumbered and overwhelmed when they’re with me, but it’s fun and they keep me going 🙂 Do you have any children?
I can’t say I have a desired weight loss goal, I just want to feel a little better and make sure I can keep up with my kids. For me, running has always been a quick way to shed some pounds and it feels like a whole body workout, but it’s been tough getting back into it. The older I get, the harder it feels on my body. I’ve just started making smoothies for breakfast and sometimes dinner. Using fresh fruits, flax seed meal, wheat germ, and a few other things. I’ll try and post a few shakes I typically make soon. I also always drink a gallon of water a day and don’t drink soda. When I have coffee, I opt for no sugar, just a latte, except when I cave-in to a Starbucks caramel macchiato…those are hard to resist at times LOL.
That’s great that you’re running as well! How has it been going? Is there a schedule you try and stick to? I try and do 3-4 days of running per week, 2-3 miles per run. I try and set mini-goals too or beat my previous time, anything to help.
You gotta try that Belvita if you haven’t already, it’s soooo good! It’s not greasy burrito good, but sorta close 🙂 Have a good one!

How old are your daughters? I don’t have any children. Which I’m perfectly okay with at this time. 🙂 I love children, but I’m in no hurry to have any of my own. 🙂
I agree, running is a great way to lose some weight and I always feel so much better after a good run. The adrenaline high is worth all the pain and suffering running causes. Lol
Please post some of your receipts! I was drooling when I saw your fried fish sandwich! yum! I’m also trying to do more smoothies, perfect time of year too with all the wonderful fruits out there. I’ve also heard of protein pancakes, haven’t tried those, but I’m going to very soon!
Your much better about your water consumption, I try to avoid sweet drinks too, but when Starbucks starts calling your name, it’s hard to say no to her. Lol!
I just started back up a week ago, I’m running 2.5 miles around my neighborhood. I’m trying to improve my time as well. I’m using an app called Mapmyrun which has really helped me see progress over the last few days. I also try to run in the morning to get my metabolism up and going for the day. I’m not a very fast runner, but I’m improving my time day by day. I’m trying to run 4-5 days a week as well! (hopefully in 3 weeks I’ll see the results you have!) Lol.
I will try the belvita for sure! Hope you have a great rest of your day! 🙂
